As if that isn’t enough excitement, Friday in Chatel St. Denis was the Swiss Army Concert Band’s 2010 season opener and a worthy start it was! Hedreich was in her element as she added the feminine shine to the world class military orchestra with songs like “Everybody Loves A Lover” , “What Now My Love” and the signature “Listen” which you’ll remember from Art on Ice 2009.

Culture in the Cellar

The long awaited day finally arrived. On Friday evening Hedreich invited fans, music lovers and hosts of new ears to a concert that once again put her incredible talent on display. The Kulturkeller Preisig in Richterswil provided the perfect backdrop for an intimate and unforgettable concert. The sold-out crowd waited expectantly for the star of the evening—finally the moment came. It was a world class show. For over 90 minutes Hedreich and the Boyz took listeners on a musical journey through her musical homeland with specially chosen songs from a myriad of genres. It was all there, from country to Jazz, R& B and soulful ballads. Naturally she presented titles from her new Album Time Now giving the audience a concert that left nothing wanting—except another encore. Laying the very groovy floor was a top notch band with Tom Gisler on Keys, Randy Müller on Guitar and Jost Müller on percussion. And of course Hedreich wouldn’t be Hedreich had she not gotten the audience in on the act. Her music filled the Kulturkeller, built in 1604, not only with pearls of culture but with a freeing charisma that cast a spell on house and hearer alike.

Happy New Decade!!

The futuristic year 2010 came in with a bang at the Tschuggen Grand in Arosa. Hedreich and the Gary Scott Band kept the party going till the fireworks started and the gayly turned out crowd showed their appreciation by keeping the dance floor full and breaking only to grab morsels of the delectable edibles.

Now, safely nestled in the wintery Alpine countryside with a
couple of weeks off from the stage, our artist is busily working on the last phase of the CD production. Graphics, booklet, CD, PR and more. Stop back by to find out if there’s a release event near you.

One Singer Under Many Groovy Hats

In addition to doing the endspurt boogie on her upcoming album, Hedreich has spent the month playing aunt, teacher, surrogate mom, godmom, drummer, nurse, as well as a host of other varied and interesting stuff. All that in a month having 3 vacation weeks! But the work is paying off. Fans will be glad to know that the sound coming out of Soundcheck studio is exceptional, a Hedreich you know but like you’ve heard her before. Hmmm, what does that mean? Welllll, buy the CD and find out! It’s due out about the time the first snowdrops push up through last of the the mountain snow. Oh, and if you’re in Basel on November 14th, stop by Tibiz. We’re trying to do the gig again–this time without police intervention!

Back in the studio…

…or shall we say studios. Tomorrow it’s back to the studio with Gölä and band to do some background vocals. And on Saturday it’s back to Soundcheck studios. Time now for our artist to get into the recording phase of next year’s solo project. Track 1 is on it’s way to being finished and the second is underway. Curious? Stop back by for the full report or follow Hedreich on Twitter to keep up with the latest signifigant–or not so signifigant–happenings.

All’s Well That Ends Well

Sometimes you start out on a path that leads you to absolutely nowhere you want to be. While at Balikfarm studio acting as vocal coach and poetry police, Hedreich found herself in a front row seat for the “big story” du jour. In one day Gölä killed the studio project that wasn’t happening and quit Musicstar, the Swiss version of American Idol. Almost simultaneously Hedreich decided to cancel the planned recording of “Listen”. “Recording “Listen” would have been a wonderful tribute to a great performance moment but Beyonce already did it so well… so for those who were hoping to buy it as a single, I hope you’ll be just as excited to get my next CD.” Hedreich’s singer/songwriter self is growing, evolving. And one thing is for sure. Just like the Bernese working man, if it ain’t working, she’ll back up and take off in a better direction.
