New year, new beginnings

What a year 2010 was! With so many highlights–releasing Time Now, having a SF top rated single, having my compositions integrated into TV shows–the urge to call do-overs is hard to get over. Well, it might be if 2011 wasn’t already in full swing. With some of the focus shifting to education, this year will find ‘Hedreich the teacher’ moving a little closer to center stage. More on that a little later in the year. And on the performance front, this year’s kick-off with “Hedreich and the Boyz” at Zürich’s Bohemian will set the tone. If you can’t make it, tune in to Zürisee or DRS or wrsp936.com. You’ll hear “our song” playing on the radio.

Endings, Beginnings

As always, once winter blows in, the time just seems to fly by. With two smashing standing room only Glarner Inspirational Singer concerts already past, the planning for the new year has already begun. The Inspirational Singers will be appearing in part as the Art on Ice chorale and have already met with Soundscape guru Steve Sidwell (Robbie Williams, Katherine Jenkins) to get the ball rolling.
And as this year races to a close, Hedreich is practicing for weekly concerts like Bern’s Kornhauskeller concert with Nachtfieber, as well as preparing to host one of New York City’s finest pianists, Etienne Lytle (Three Mo Tenors, Freddy Jackson), who will accompany her for a couple of prestigious, private holiday events. Be sure to check out the calendar to see if there’s an event near you!

Or maybe you’ve caught her own soulful “I Found Love” on Zürisee or heard her backing Gölä, Bligg and Xavier Naidoo on their latest releases. Missed all that too? Well check out the calendar, there’s more to come! In the mean time, get a copy of Time Now for Christmas. It’s the perfect gift and the ideal music for those snowy, romantic evenings.

As the World Turns…

…the seasons change. The bare, funky stage clothes of Summer go to the back of the closet and make way for the wraps and boleros in muted tones of Fall. To kick off the season, Hedreich charmed the teachers and student body of the Primary school in Wädenswil with a workshop and concert incorporating all the k-6 voices as well as those of teachers and parents on hand for the week’s event.

And after a wonderful season’s end concert which was broadcast on DRS 3, this week finds her preparing for a post derniere appearance with the Swiss Army Band on Friday in Basel. Unfortunately for fans it’s invitation only.

And speaking of broadcasts, if you’re in eastern Switzerland, be sure to watch Tele Südostschweiz this Friday at 10 till 7 in the evening to see her Monday morning interview with Fabian Heer. Maybe you’ll even see her do “Song About…” live and unplugged!

The three Ss

Sagibeiz, “Song About…” and standing ovation are the words of the day. First, the Sagibeiz concert was sensational! To keep it fresh, Hedreich and the Boyz debuted two hot-off-the-press tunes much to the delight of the moving and grooving crowd who rewarded one of Switzerland’s best live acts with not one but two standing ovations!

On the video front, “Song About…” has made the transition to tv –did you see it?! If you haven’t, here’s your chance to watch now . And to keep it in SFtv’s top 20, vote now!
