“Song About…” @ #1!

And the big news is…“Song About…” has made it to the number one spot on SFtv’s Roboclip! If you haven’t yet seen it, stop by and let yourself get carried away by the hot mix of Latin and Hip Hop grooves. And here, a few of the lyrics for those who’d like to try and guess what the song really is all about… “Why do I come home late just to turn you on/Why do I need you at the break of dawn/Why do I have to have you/Before my morning coffee grab you/open you up to me…” Post your answers on the facebook fanpage if you think you know the answer. “Song About…” and songs about…

While the new “Song About…” video is gaining popularity on youtube, Hedreich is spending every available moment composing songs about other things as well. Collaborating with Nubya for her upcoming project is turning up gold and you can look forward to getting an accoustic taste in the not too far off future. Additionally, Hedreich found herself teaming up with an unlikely writing partner, her 6 year old son. After his cameo vocal on Time Now’s “Sing My Song”, he has morphed into a junior songwriter. Happy August 1st, Switzerland!

As the fourth of July is to the Americans, so is the first of August to the Swiss. For our working musician, this “erst – auguscht” will be a working holiday. However, in keeping with the patriotic theme, spending at least a part of the day singing with a Berner, a Solothurnerin and a Zürcher should move Hedreich one step closer to being accent free. Stop back soon for the details or become a part of the Hedreich Nichols youtube and facebook fan community for the minute by minute updates.
Oh, and keep the grill hot. After all that singing she’ll be wanting to ‘get her eat on’…

Davos Sounds Good

This past Tuesday found Hedreich rocking the Davos culture prize ceremony. Yes, you read it right, rocking it! The distinguished guests at this formal ceremony morphed into a choir under Hedreich’s tutelage as they learned and helped to sing two songs from her upcoming CD. The evening found them dancing, clapping and singing along at this two-part event, staged at the Kirchener Museum and the Hotel Europe piano bar. Along with Tom Gisler on keys and Jost Müller on Cajon, the Culture Committe from Davos celebrated the evening in high musical style.

And on the CD front, we’d like to welcome aboard James Auwater or Chicago, Illinois. He’ll be spending the next weeks mixing the project to perfection–and he’s got the credentials to do it!
“The writing and recording phase was MUCH easier, ” says Hedreich. “This waiting is horrible!! It must be what it’s like to be a dad waiting for the baby to be born!” says Hedreich.

At least our artist will be spared the pacing in the waiting room. Although she will have the task of listening, revising and approving all mixes, while waiting she will have the honor of attending the Vienna International Choir Festival. The Inspirational Singers, will be singing in and around Vienna, including at the prestigious Schonbrunn Palace. Stop back by for details or join Hedreich’s facebook fan page to stay up to the minute on all the latest news.
