An award-winning author, Hedreich is best known for Finding Your Blind Spots: 8 Guiding Principles for Overcoming Implicit Bias in Teaching (Solution Tree), where she blends lived experience, educational expertise, and research to help educators better understand the stories, assumptions, and perspectives that shape learning. She is also the author of five supplementary readers for grades 4–8 through Cherry Lake Publishing.
Hedreich’s writing has appeared in publications including Edutopia and Cult of Pedagogy, where she explores practical, research-informed approaches to learning, communication, educational innovation, and perspective in the classroom and beyond.
Before her work in education and communications, Hedreich had a successful career in music education and performance, earning a Grammy nomination as a singer and contributing arrangements to a double-platinum recording. Those experiences continue to shape the way she thinks about audience, storytelling, emotion, and human connection.
Hedreich holds a Master of Education in Educational Technology from Texas A&M University. Through SmallBites Consulting, and select strategic communications and storytelling work through The Bridge Collective, she continues to support educators, leaders, organizations, and mission-driven brands seeking stronger communication, more engaging learning experiences, and thoughtful approaches to change.
